A child meeting Rexy the dinosaur

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the next best is now! Meet like-minded people and do your bit for the planet.

East Devon District Council is working with local farmer Henry Gent to create a new woodland. Can you help us to plant a mixture of natural trees and shrubs?

Rexy the dinosaur will also be joining us! All ages welcome, though children must be supervised at all times by an adult.

The planting site is a marshy field (wellies essential) and is a 1/3 mile walk from the parking area (please follow direction arrows). Unfortunately, it's not suitable for mobility scooters or prams.

Bring a spade and gloves if you can, but it's not essential. It's all free and we will show you how it's done. Toilet and parking on site, but please do arrive on foot if you can (if you live in the Tithebarn area you can walk to the site through the Minerva Country Park). Regular bus service B from Exeter will take you to Tithebarn Way where it is a 1/3 mile walk to the planting site (but please get instructions on how to get to the site before you depart).

Please do not bring dogs. For more information contact Simon Bates on 01395-571747.

Places are limited, booking is essential. There are 2 slots, one at 10am and one at 1pm, so pick your time and book online here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/.../plant-a-wood-in-the...
