Managed by partners The Land Trust and Teignbridge District Council, Ridgetop Park is a large new greenspace on former agricultural land boasting some of the best panoramic views of Exeter and beyond. This park offers free parking, ancient geology and historic interest and seating throughout to enjoy the skies and views.

Getting There

Address: Ridgetop Park Trood Ln, Exeter EX2 8XX

By foot: The park has several access points by foot including Trood Lane, Deepway Lane, Old Matford Lane and Luxton Road.

By car: Free car park off Trood Lane (What3Words location ///engage.soup.bond). Please do not park cars on either Old Matford Lane or Deepway Lane. These are public highways, and local residents and farmer need clear access at all times.

Walking Routes 

Use the map to  decide your route. There are numerous loops depending on your access point, all routes follow the perimeter of each field. Please note, further sections of the park and car parking will be opened over time to enable wider public access.

Wildlife

The site hosts a variety of habitats including grassland meadows, native hedgerows, broadleaved woodland, orchard and open barley fields. Look out for Cirl Bunting, a passing Buzzard and swathes of wildflowers.
