Description

This walk takes in an undulating stretch of the coast path between Sidmouth and Ladram Bay. The route offers fantastic views east and west along the coast, with the option to climb to the top of High Peak for those feeling fit enough! The elevated position is ideal for watching birds offshore and we have seen buzzards and other birds of prey hunting along the cliff edge, as well as a badger one evening!

Directions

  1. Park at Mutters Moor Car Park on Peak Hill Road, east of Sidmouth.

  2. Cross the road and follow the footpath across a field to the cliff top.

  3.  Join the coast path and follow it westward towards Ladram Bay, passing the steep path up to the High Peak viewing platform.

  4. Return the way you came.
